98 Honda civic b18b1 swap
I have a 98 civic coupe with manual transmission and steering…I have a complete 94 integra 5 speed power steering…is it possible to just unbolt the front sub frame with engine and transmission attached and just bolt it under the civic? And if I did this would I still need the t bracket for the 99/00 civic si or would using the integras sub frame cure that issue? My d series has finally finished off the head gasket that has been leaking out the front for about 150k miles and clutch is shot so figure why not slap in a 130k mile b18
Integra's did not have subframes like later model Civics.
Remove the engine and transmission from the bottom, just like Honda installed them. Are you planning to do some wiring? It's not plug and play since the engine is OBD1 and your Civic is OBD2A

Yeah I do know that and planned on just swapping hole engine harness already have the car gutted and dash is in my civic the gauges that is and steering wheel and column and yes 94 integra has four bolts that drop a frame or support of some sort just like the civic wasn’t sure if it was same dimensions some said it was
lol I’m very knowledgeable done tons of motor work and swaps I know mounts up top are different I literally have both cars sitting in garage was simple question…that I wanted to know if anyone had tried…have the day you deserve
haha...dude, you're so full of it. Claim to have so much knowledge yet come in here not knowing both cars DID NOT have subframes. Sure thing.
I think the OP means "K member"... some would call it a rear subframe. Either way, the EG/DC subframe CAN be installed into the EK chassis. You will need ALL of the bolts from the donor chassis as well as the donor lower control arms. Depending on the trim level of your EK, you might need a different steering shaft coupler to join the steering rack to the steering column at the firewall. You will also use the '94-01 Integra rear "T" bracket (and bolts) as well as the rear mount to properly set the engine placement in the bay... you will still use the original style upper transmission and left side engine mounts from your EK, although using those found on the '99-00 EM1 Civic Si are a bit more robust than those found on single-jingle applications. Aftermarket mounts for the EK chassis may be even stronger.

Thank you jrcivic…sorry my wording wasn’t correct on the front support k frame whatever you want to call it and I have 2 complete integras one is rusted out which is why I was asking if I could simply just unbolt the front frame under the engine…I have both couplers one I bought to manual rack swap my civic and I have the integras for the power steering rack I already installed the integra gauge cluster and steering column due to the civics being messed up it’s got 400k miles on it…but I’m not here to prove what I do or don’t know…
