PLEASE help.. need info on water pump
I need to know the price of a water pump for a 95 civic EX 2dr.. i looked at hondaautomotiveparts but i cant figure out if that price is the whole thing or small pieces so can someone tell me roughly how much the whole kit is? im begging!! Thanks in advance
is that everything that i would need? the mechanic doing the work on my car s trying to jerk me around i think.. he said he ordered a pump for a 92-95 civic and the one that came in isnt right. he's had my car since last tuesday and says it wont be ready til saturday. Can't shops get parts next day shipped or atleast 2 day shipping? SH*T!!!! this sucks *****
water pumps A.) aren't expensive and B.) aren't hard to install. get a catch pan for the fluid, unbolt it, scrape gasket residue off the block, reassemble and re-introduce coolant.
But how hard is it for a dumbass like me? I have no tools and wouldnt even know where to look for the water pump by myself
ohh man hes screwing you hard
the pump is 4-5 10 mm bolts any shop can do it in less than one hour and that part is most likely in stock in about every parts store you can think of
i changed my water pump for my b16 and i called like 4 places and they all had more than one in stock
just remove the old water pump scrape off the gasket and replace with new water pump and new gasket its on the timing belt side

Looks like $47.62 at Majestic. It looks to me like that is complete with the gasket too. Should be everything you need.
It sounds like the guy is jerking you around. Most Honda dealers I've ordered things from will get special order parts next day if you order early enough in the day. I was told that they place an order to the regional warehouse every day and get the parts next day, if they are in stock. I would expect that a water pump would be a fairly easy part to get quickly.
