I'm guessing these are just painted to look like carbon fiber or dipped in the paint or something? Or are they legit gonna offer some real extra door handle strength so i don't keep breaking them? They do cost twice as much as average ebay handle sets and come with no key holes.

Well in the ebay link under the description it says the color is carbon look. And under that it says the material is plastic. So I would say it's not real carbon.

It's shitty quality chinese plastic, not real carbon fiber.

Did you really think that someone would sell Honda Civic EG/EJ (1992-1995) door handles made from real carbon fiber for 20 U$ Dollars per 1 piece?

 

Its quite obvious its hydro dipped.

 

... Or, stencil painted. Either way, it's fake and the handles are cheap EBay plastic. There is no way anyone does anything as intricate as a pair of door handles laid up in real carbon fiber for $20... shipped !!! Let's be real here.

 

lurice01, the handles only break in the colder weather... this is when the plastic is brittle. It also happens when you think the door is unlocked and it isn't... and you pull on it expecting the door to open. Combine the two conditions... and there is a great chance the handle breaks off. So just be more gentle... especially when the above conditions are present.
