Crank no start/no spark
Hello everyone,
I have a 1998 Honda civic DX Manual and I have an issue with it not starting but cranking, I’m new to the honda world so I’m not to savvy with these cars. It all started when I installed a OBD1 P06 ECU with hondata s300 v2, because I wanted to run a tune on it. After a bit I figured out that I had one of the ECU plugs unplugged than the ECU would receive power like the check engine light will light up but I tried to see if I could read any codes but the obd2 port is not working, I had bought a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness for the new ECU but after I had installed the new ECU I took it off and put the stock one back thinking that the the new one was bad, now everything is back to normal stock ecu is back on but I still can’t read any codes and my car won’t spark, it will crank the fuel pump will prime it will dumb fuel but it won’t spark, I bought new spark plugs and I also bought a new distributor bc the person who had the car before me had recently bought new plugs, I took off the old distributor and had all the timing marked for the new one. New distributor is installed and still no spark I have no idea what else to check, I saw a lot of people saying it could be my ignition switch but I’m not sure, and also I’ve been told that I might have burned my ecu harness or something. None of my fuses are blown and all the grounds are secure, I was told there is a ground for the ECU on the drivers side underneath the steering wheel but I cannot find said ground I’m no confused and I need help from people who know what they are doing

Make sure that all of the pins at ecu have good connection, and that your conversion harness is wired correctly. Also test main relay before you get too far down this diagnostic rabbit hole.

Check main relay. Check if crank sensor is working like if there’s rpm’s when cranking and look for loose broken wires under dash or any place where aftermarket work has been done.
