Default Thump on a sharp turn!!!

Well today my friends and I were messing arund in a parking lot . We were getting some footage for our car video . I drive a 98hatch lowered on some sportlines. I wasnt doing 180's or anything . I was just doing fast turns. I did 2 circles counterclock wise . And all of the sudded I heard a very loud thump . It was loud that my friends who were recording heard it . I thought i blew a tire , but it turned out to be nothing . I rasied the car on jacks and everything seems fine . We inspected the lot and found a good size rock. It was broken in half . We think I ran over the rock so thats not a big deal , but I dont recall any bumps. What could have went wrong , Is there anything else I should check . btw car has 80k miles

Don't panic but you *may* have hit the rock. Im just messing with you.
It could have been one of your springs making a noise. As long as there is no bubble in your tire and all your springs look good, your car is all the same height meaning that it isnt higher in any one place then I say you are good to go.

I checked eveything out and it looks fine . Is there any possible way of a spring bending to the left or right .

Sounds to me like you just hit that rock.

But, my exhaust used to thump against my LCA whenever I was cornering and hit a bump- you might want to look into that as well. I replaced the rubber exhaust hangers and haven't heard it since.

I'm on Sportlines too BTW.

Actually the noise you were hearing is prolly your tire rubbing against your inner fender.. how low are you dropped and what size are your wheels/tires... Whenever i play around in parking lost and try to do dougnuts and stuff my tire rubs bad.. so i dont do it often.. but that could be what it was...
