Crank - No start - ICM?
Crank-No Start
For background my EF Hatch (1988-D15B2) has been giving me **** since July, always 1 issue or another.
About 2 months ago the chassis harness was chewed up and corroded (Mice) and grounded itself to the chassis, shutting off the car, ever since then i had relay chatter (rapid clicking of the main relay and cel flashing rapidly) and i thought the fuel pump might’ve grounded out and not worked, causing crank no start. After that ive let it sit for a while, today i went to put some work into it and noticed when i turned the key, NO RELAY CHATTER?? Fuel pump primes like normal, so i tried to start the car but now im getting code 15… ICM… when the chassis harness grounded out could it have killed the ICM? Keep in mind ive already had to replace the ICM because before july my alternator had overcharged the living hell out of my battery and killed the icm, so ive replaced it already. And ive replaced the distributor with an OEM made in japan one from my parts car. Should i try replacing the icm?
Any thoughts or info is greatly appreciated! Id love to get my ef back up and running
