Default Need help understanding what I need

I have a high compression D16y8 with a ratio of 11:38:1i have headers exhaust cold air with a ported throttle body and after market intake manifold. I wanna know if I should I put a cam in it thinking of stage 2 and what do else do I need to get to get it working.

Higher rate valve springs and retainers as well as some type of tunable engine management system.

The cam will make that motor come alive. You’ll need valve springs and a tune. I’d say stage 2 or 3 would both work depending on manufacture and specs of the cam. Stock injectors will be plenty, port work would be a bonus also but if your gonna go that route I’d get a z6 head, they flow better stock vs stock and have a much better port design over the y8’s wonky swirl port.
