Alright, highly considering buying a 92’ k20z1 turbo’d civic. My only hang up is it has a possible bad ecu. Idles very well, partial throttle right around 3k rpm hesitates/jerks pretty bad. On full throttle it breaks up pretty bad but no jerks. Owner says exposed fuel pump wiring arced on the body and potentially fried the ecu. Off the top of my head he replaced and re-did the fuel pump and wiring, replaced tps, map, can’t remember exactly what else. He says he got tired of it and is just done with it, so selling. My question A: Should I stay away from this? B: From your best guess what could the problem(s) potentially be? C: If it is the ecu, what is my best step moving forward? I’m thinking new ecu and going hondata k pro, it’s currently just chipped.
Couple notes, I understand that this can’t be fixed over the phone, just looking at possibilities. Also couldn’t attach any videos, they were to large.
