So here's what I'm dealing with..... video shows a number 14 code and a pause then a 7 code and an 8 code I think? The dim 7 & 8 codes are throwing me.
I also randomly get a couple of revolutions of the engine, when starting, that sound like the timing is too far advanced ..... that "wop wop" sound but then it goes away and starts like normal. Timing has been checked and good at 16 degrees

 

Your video does in fact show three codes: 7 - TPS; 8 - TDC (Distributor); and 14 - IACV. Looks like you have some diagnosing to do.

 

Thanks JR, appreciate you confirming those codes. I've had a long road of issues with this EJ2 but luckily this was the first time I was able to "catch" the CEL throwing me a bone!
The IACV is simple enough as are the TPS and TDC (new dist Dec of '19 guess it's time for a new one).
