Default Tanabe Exhaust Fitting Problems...

i just bought a used Tanabe Racing Medallion. It sound nice and deep but there is one little problem. The pipe which goes over the axel is touching the body of the car and makes this annoying rattle whenever the I left off the gas and the rpms drop. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I pull on the pipe, it wont touch it but how can I get it stay like that. I only need it to move by like 1/2 an inch. Thanks!

Keep playing with the exhaust hangers until you're happy with the way it sits.

It isnt the hangers. The muffler sits fine. The where the pipe goes over the rear axel. It bends like an up-side down U and at the top of it, the left side touches the body of the car. Thanks

are you sure it was made for your car? What car did this come off of?
and you know how aftermarket parts can be.

Hangers can adjust where the entire exhaust goes.

You need to adjust your hangers.

A shop will have better luck moving the hangers for you unless you can get a bfh under there

I have no fitment problems w/trm after 70,000 miles.

Oh yea - there is a little bottle-neck on the trm, but I still like the weight, quality, and sound...
