I replaced the distributor recently on my 96' Honda Civic DX, I went to set ignition timing, I jumped the blue connector with the black and brown wire that was in the green connector holder along the right side of the passenger footwell, when I do this and start the car, the SRS light is steady on, is this something I should be worried about or is it normal for it to come on when doing this?
It is normal for the "Check Engine" and the "SRS" lights to illuminate when you short the service connector... and if neither system is storing any codes, these two warning indicators will stay on solid until you remove the jumper from the service connector.
