B20V timing belt is too close to the engine. Where did I go wrong?
I have a B20 with a GSR head, my timing belt has been too close to the engine side to the point where the belt was rubbing against the water pump. I was wondering if you guys can help me identify the problem now that I have everything apart. Am I using the incorrect bottom timing gear? Or is there supposed to be a washer behind the gear?

You are missing the inside guide washer, identical to the outside one pictured. Hit that B with some brake clean sheesh, you might need a new oil pump crank seal

Thanks boss. The oil is actually coming from the valve cover. It was cut a bit too much for cam gear access and it leaks down so I'm also in the process of replacing that lol.
