Default Swap question for a first timer

So I bought a 97 civic off a family member to do a swap, I’m looking to drop a k24 with a manual in. maybe an a2 so I could turbo down the road if I ever got bored with it na which I doubt I would. I have a couple of questions about the ecu side, I’m reading in different places that you can use an automatic ecu with a manual trans and some people were saying you’ll run into issues. This is my first time doing anything super deep into a car so any advice would be welcome.

Yes a TSX (K24A2) automatic PCM can be flashed to run a manual transmission using Hondata. However you lose the reverse lockout function and the TSX PCM is challenging to integrate being CAN bus.

Not sure if the early RSX stuff can be flashed to manual transmission.
