Default Crank/no start after dizzy replacement

Hello everyone. Im seeing if any of y'all can help give guidance with an issue im having. On my 91 sedan (LX auto) im having an issue. Im getting a ecu code 8 (TDC sensor) after replacing my distributor. I replaced it because I was already getting a code 8, and I have a crank/no start and its still showing code 8. Is there any way I can test wiring and verify that its good harness side before I just keep throwing distributors at it? Thanks.

Check the wiring for the small plug on the distributor

I did see a wire that was exposed slightly but its not visibly broken.
