Default Starting issue

I own a 1990 Honda accord ex and I got a starter and it works just fine when I had it bench tested but when I install it I don’t get no activity from the starter. It just clicks and that’s it. I had cleaned the connectors for the starter and still nothing. The motor is not locked and want to know what should I be looking for or at. The battery is good and well nothing dims at all.

Did you replace the old starter for the same reason?
What happens if you jumper the solenoid terminal directly to the large battery cable at the starter?
What's the battery voltage?

Well I got it to crank. Was a wiring issue that had to do with the battery. But I need to replace the injectors and regulator since I got it to start with starting fuel but would die the minute the starting fluid is used up. Replace the fuel pump and confirmed the pump is working. Only thing I can think of is the injectors and regulator

Common issue on the 90-93s is the main relays solder joints fail.
Car would start with failed fuel regulator and highly unlikely all 4 injectors would fail.

Start here at the Techauto site, if it's down use the addy at the wayback machine to look it up

Well since the car sat for so many years I would think the injectors are severely clogged due to the fuel possibly clogging the old injectors. It started when I put some starting fluid inside which tells me it will start but no fuel is getting into the cylinders which is only leading to the injectors and regulator. I did replace the fuse box clear thing for the battery and ignition. The 50 amp and 80 amp. It’s definitely leaking from the crank seal since there is oil dripping from the timing cover and oil on the timing belt

Gasoline is a solvent. It cleans or dissolves damn near anything. I've started a car on 6-year-old fuel in the tank. It was a pain, but it did start!

Find the Main Relay

Stick head under dash and look up, the PGM-FI main relay will either be a brown or black box looking item with a brown 7 wire connector

Use a paper clip and jumper pin 1 to Pin 7 on the connector. You should hear the fuel pump running with the key in the start position. If this works, leave the paperclip jumper wire in place and order a replacement PGM-FI main relay OR repair yours per the YouTube video!

Chances are you didn't need the fuel pump either, next time after you've confirmed that the vehicle starts on starting fluid check to see if the fuel pump is getting power at the plug before shot gunning parts at something.

The pump that was on it was completely rusted and wasn’t working. Even when I poured fuel into the car it still didn’t work. When I replaced the pump then fuel came out of the fuel line. The pump works since I replaced it and well I’m not just throwing parts into it. I check and double check before replacing.

That’s what the old fuel pump looked like. You tell me if it would really work

If it was a relay issue or fuse than the pump wouldn’t be pushing fuel out of the fuel line which is is since I replaced it. Even have a new fuel filter on it as well. I checked the line that is connected to the fuel rail which it’s getting fuel since I was able to see fuel pour into a bottle when I put the line into a bottle and try to start the car to see if the pump is working which it is working since I replace the pump assembly

So I got it to start and runs okay. Let it idle for about 5-6 minutes and we’ll definitely has a bad oil leak coming from possibly the crank seal but it sprays everywhere. I didn’t put it in gear and I try to press the gas pedal to see if it will rev up and it almost died whenever I press the gas pedal. Not sure if it’s not opening up but it will idle okay but can figure out why it’s about to die when I press the gas pedal.
