I have a 2004 RSX base, and the starter seized in the flywheel while starting, causing the car not to start and seizing the motor too. I pulled the starter out, the motor unseized, and I looked at the flywheel, and it has significant chips in it where the starter got seized. Already have a new flywheel on the way. I've tried to do some research to see if this has happened to anyone else, and I can't seem to find anything similar. I'm almost certain the flywheel being chipped is why it seized, but I'm wondering what could have caused the damage on the flywheel, and can it happen again with the new flywheel?
