Hello, this is my first question here. This forum has been invaluable so far!

I recently did the timing belt on my 1997 Civic DX and used a new Fel-Pro Valve Cover Gasket Set - VS50500R when reassembled. I have followed the manual for torque instructions but did not use any sealant. Of course it is leaking, very little but enough for me to want to fix it properly.

What is the correct way to use sealant with the Fel-Pro gasket and what type should I use?

 

Use genuine Honda valve cover gasket and do everything according to the information in the Honda Civic VI EJ/EK manual and nothing will leak.

 

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I guess those corners are the key!
