Do you change 0w-20 to 5w-20 as mileage go's up

Hello, I have a 2019 CRV-LX 2.4L I've always used what MFR recommends but as engine wears do they recommend changing to a high mileage and at what miles is considered high? Thanks for any feedback...

nope. Use what’s on the oil cap. It’s what’s recommended.

when you take your car into the dealership for oil changes, they don’t change to different oils or types of oils due to milage, so you shouldn’t either.

the reason why they use 0w oil in these motors is because they’re a close interference engine.

I think what you meant was low viscosity oils are used due to the tight internal tolerances. Not inaccurate on it's own. But probably not THE reason, rather one of many other stronger ones.

There is more than enough well-intending but misleading info floating around about motor oil. I'm not an expert, but I know what I don't know so I usually just share this link:
