D16 Turbo Help
Hey guys, im very new to modifying cars and recently picked up a 95 civic coupe EX with a partially built d16z6. I plan to do a turbo kit in the future, but i was kind of clueless in how much boost i should be striving for. Im trying to have this be a fun daily driver so i was thinking around 260 - 300 range for wheel horsepower (i know its a large range, but i think its a comfortable spot in terms of daily driving) As far as i know, my d16 has stock compression, and pretty much only the internals have been swapped but everything has been maintained to factory spec by the previous owner. The swapped parts are:
ARP Head Studs
Eagle rods
Forged pistons (I dont really remember which ones but i remember them being over $800 usd so i believe they are higher end forged pistons)
The car also has aftermarket headers, exhaust, and all the other bells and whistles you would imagine with a car that was planned to be turbocharged. Also, i have taken apart majority of car (except for the actual head of the engine block, but i will definitely ensure everything is in order before full sending into a turbo), and everything has been up to spec. So i am curious if 260 - 300 hp range is attainable with my engine specs, and will it be able to be reliable driven for 100+ thousand miles? Assuming the above specs, and some good high end pistons, what is realistic for my goals? I feel like i've done a TON of research but turbocharging is just something that im pretty clueless over. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
(Also im new to this forum, so i hope i put this thread in the right location, sorry if not)
