Might as well start a thread. Goal is a nice driver with some quality parts while keeping it clean, slow and simple.
Bought the car sight unseen besides a few videos and pics. Had it transported from So Cal to Northern AZ. 2-owner, VIN matching B16 car. Original motor with 171k miles, but very well kept.
First order of business was a fresh set of OEM reps with new tires. Front suspension has all new strut assemblies. I'm assuming they used non-Si Civic quick struts without knowing as the front sits higher than an Si from the factory.
Ordered up a set of S3 Street coilovers to get rid of the wheel gap ASAP
Ordered up a set of 225/45/15 Federal 595 RS-Pros (they'll be going on the Works)
Going with 15x8 +35 Work Emotion RS11's (ordered and waiting)
Spoon Street muffler ordered straight from Japan, will probably take a few weeks.
Since this will be a cruiser build I'm tossing a 12" Kicker Comp R in the trunk with a 1200wx1 monoblock amp to mate with the current Apple Carplay headunit (only interior mod on the car right now)
^was just gonna say the same thing. Step 0 if you want that interior staying that nice.
It’s wild how high that thing was sitting… like an extra 2” up at both ends.
You’re already tossing some nice stuff at it! Should be a cool cruiser. Those 225s are going to be a tough squeeze i think, but I appreciate the extra rubber.

Car stays garaged and will only be out on weekends. I'm a fishbowl kinda guy. If it's lasted this long, it definitely isn't going to be accelerated in my care.
I've done the research on the 225/45 setup with this size/offset. Only thing that needs to be addressed is adding a rear camber kit because the tire will rub against the stock arm. Setup should fit great.

They sell them on Ebay and Amazon. I think only black is available these days.

Fair enough.
Be prepared to clearance the trailing arms near the UCA for your 15x8s though. I forgot I had done it on my old arms and had to cut and grind on my freshly coated new ones. 🫤
Nice! How do you like the Skar sound dampening? Any comparison to Dynamat?
Haven't laid it down yet. Been busy af! It's definitely some heavy ****, feels very similar to Dynamat. I haven't used Dynamat since 2004-ish? so I won't really remember much when it comes to comparing. I do feel confident it'll keep the license plate from going crazy though. Fingers crossed.
I'll be reaching out at some point for that zinc/black washer combo for some of the bay stuff

Yeah I've read and watched quite a few vids on the wheel setup. Some have to cut and run rear camber arms, some haven't had to. Seems to be wheel dependent. But we'll do what we have to
Yeah, I thought it was interesting that I had never seen anything other than a note in an old Endyn article from the 00's. Things get snug pretty quick with wide wheels on these cars, especially in the back!
As much as I've searched Google, YT, etc...and it being 2025, there still isn't a lot of "up front" info on it.
Quick update as well....the Hardrace camber kit was out of stock with a LONG wait time, so Evasive rolled me into a set of K-Tuned ones instead. They arrived over the weekend. I'll slap them in as soon as the S3's arrive. Cannot WAIT to slam this **** on these stockers. WHAT YEAR IS IT?!?!?!?
I swore I was done buying parts for at least a month or two...and then PLM had to go and TOTALLY REDEEM THEMSELVES with $100 off the 3-point strut bar I've wanted since jump. FINE, TAKE MY MONEY!
Not gonna pass up $100 off when every other online store has them at $295
I'm also on the hunt 24/7 for an old school Do Luck rear floor brace. Haven't seen any in decades. They still make NIB ones for Nissans and Subies...but not Hondas.

Those were REALLY COOL. I haven't seen any in a really long time either.
