Oil leak! 98 Honda Civic
Hello I’ve been having this oil leak for a while now but I cannot trace it at all where it’s coming from.. I’ve tried cleaning the engine bay to see if it’ll make it easier but I really can’t figure out where it’s coming from.. The Valve cover is completely dry so I know it’s not from there but the leak seems to be seeping down on the transmission area it’s just hard to figure where it’s coming from. Some people said to check the distributor o ring but the distributor is also brand new so I doubt it’s that.

Given the location you describe, common leaks would be the distributor o-ring (easy to pinch this during installation), also, the VTEC solenoid is a common one. Clean the area completely, and have a close look after driving for a bit to warm up the oil, and I’m sure you’ll find it.
