oil leak, not distributor
Ok, I thought the oil leak was from distributor area. Went to the dealer and spend $1.99 for the new o-ring. Replaced it and still a leak coming from somewhere else. Any ideas? Doesn't look to be a head leak or anything. Any advice would be appreciated. Oh, car is a 94' EG Coupe. VTEC

Re: oil leak, not distributor (Archidictus)
I will try to take a pic, but its underneath. If I look from top, i don't see anything, other than the area atop the transmission and under the distributor. I have wiped that area, so no leaks anymore from the distributor since i did replace that brittle o-ring. Last night on the driveway, there was still a new spot of oil drip. It could be the left over oil still from before i replaced the o-ring, or it could be something else. If you say the valve cover gasket, how much is that fix and is it an easy fix?
Thanks ARCHIDICTUS

Re: (Slammd Sol)
After thorough inspection, it doesn't look to be the VTEC solenoid (would there by oil coming out of here?), the cam plug seal nor the breather filter (again, would there be oil coming out of here?) It must be the valve cover gasket. How much is this fix?

You should be able to do the labor yourself, as it's just removing a few nuts and replacing a rubber gasket. If I had to give an estimate on a dealer doing it, I'd say fifteen minutes or half an hour MAXIMUM.
You don't need to be running synthetic. Also, what engine is this? Lots of people are saying things about a cam plug seal and that may not be something you need to consider depending on your engine
