Default Crankshaft position sensor

Bought a cheap first car to do some work to and make my own. It’s throwing engine code P0335 and I wanna know what I should expect replacing this thing. I’m mechanical inclined and have access to a shop so I should have no problem doing this but I can’t find any videos on how to do it so I thought i’d ask here. I appreciate any help.

Since you say cheap car, it could have a mechanical issue with the crank shaft. Attached is a diagnostic for the code. For the MK3.

oof🤣 i don’t believe it is though. It runs extremely smooth most the time and won’t throw the code but then it’ll throw itself in limp mode and throw the same code again. Sitting next to my car right now and i really don’t think that diagnostic process is possible with a b20. I can’t just unplug the connector and start the car… it’s under a whole lot of essential stuff.
