B18C ITR swap into 94 eg hatch (dx, auto) wiring help
Hi all, I have a JDM B18C ITR with a p73-013 ecu that I want to swap into my 94 automatic eg hatch (dx). Converting the car to a manual.
The head is stamped 97, but I believe it’s a 98 spec due to the P73-013 ecu and the 4-1 header. Is that correct?
From what I’ve gathered, the B18C ITR is obd2 (idk if A or B?, does that matter?) and I may be able to use the obd1 harness currently in my car as long as I use extra wires for the vtec connection and convert the O2 sensor wiring.
Should I research more on using my current obd1 wiring harness and figuring out how to connect it to the b18 ecu and engine? Or should I buy a obd2 wiring harness from the b18 gsr/type r and use that?
I keep running into posts that say the p73-013 ECU wouldn’t be good to use due to the various sensors that can’t be connected: immobilizer, fuel tank pressure, etc.
I would love some help, if y’all could point me to some threads to read into, or give me a straight up answer, that would be amazing

You'll want to convert the motor to OBD1. Use a chipped oem obd1 ecu or a standalone. And tune it. Your OEM harness should work for most of it. The IACV might need replaced with an obd1 2-wire model, but they bolt right up. You can use the obd2 distributor, just use an adapter harness like
To get vtec, use a vtec subharness like https://www.burton-racing.com/products/vtec-sub-harness
