troubleshooting no start on b18 swapped eg
i put new motor and cranked to build oil pressure with injectors and spark plug coils unplugged.
The issue: key in position 0 does nothing (obviously), postion 1 gives radio life, positon 2 primes fuel pump and dash lights, position 3 (start) kills everything. No starter crank and it kills the dash lights. After postion 3 nothing comes back when going to postion 2 until a random amount of time. This makes me think its a relay stuck open until it closes eventually. tested ignition switch when it works and saw 12 volts across all positions when in them per circuit but after everything dies it no longer shows any voltage on any of them. All fuses tested good on both fuse boxes and give continuity to the ignition switch.
Troouble shooting i've done: replaced dizzy (free under warranty), replaced ecu with a friends working one temporarily, replaced main relay (free under warranty), circuit tested ignition switch and verified it is working. Ill eventually trace it back till i find the issue but currently have no idea. Thinking the other 2 relays in the car might be bad or a wire melted somewhere. or could my new starter be shorting out? its from oreillys. Any help would be amazing.
Thanks,
awdegg
