Motor RPM (CVT) rises abt +500 rpm without reason
My motor RPM is increasing abnormally, abt +500 rpm, from time to time.
When I drive in moderate pace on a highway, say 100km/h, nomal RPM is below 1500. But a few times, it has happened abt 6 times in 2 years, it became 2000-2100 RPM all of a sudden. It happend this way: I drove abt 100km/h, and just noticed that RPM had increased. And it would stay like that unless I stop, turn off and turn on the engine, and then it would come to normal. It does not depend on the temperature. It happened in winter and in summer. It never happened when in city, but only on a highway.
What is it?
Honda CR-V 2018, CVT, 2,4L.
