First time engine swapping! Please Help! B swap into EK chassis
Hello!
Context:
I have a 1998 honda civic dx hatchback auto (d16y7)
I also have a 2000 Acura integra ls coupe auto (b18b1)
I will be attempting an engine swap for the first time and I was hoping I could get some information. I have done hours or research on how to b swap my ek hatch and I'm still a little unsure about wiring and the engine harness. I believe both of these cars are OBD2 ( please correct me if im wrong) and from my understanding I think it just plug and play. Both cars are auto but I plan to five speed swap the b18b1 before putting into my hatch. Do I need a manual harness? Do I have to buy a jumper harness? Aftermarket support? A lot of what I've read on the forums date back to the early 2000's, so i'm not too sure how valid they are (most of them are just shitting on the dude who's posting). Any information will be appreciated! Good or bad! Please and Thanks!

You will need to use the engine harness from the Civic - lay it over the Integra LS engine and modify it to fit the engine. Some plugs will need to be moved (TPS and MAP), some will need to be modified (IAT, distributor, CKF, IACV) and some will plug right in. The Integra engine harness DOES NOT just plug right in. In addition, you will need to purchase a '96-99 Integra LS manual ECU (the 2000 LS ECU will not work because of the immobilizer and the ECU plugs are different), which will be a "plug-n-play" type situation in your '98 Civic chassis. You can also get an OBD-1 ECU and an ECU adapter plug and use it if you wish... this method will allow for tuning and making some of the wiring a bit easier. You will not need a manual engine harness... but you will have extra plugs that can either be left be (not as pretty) or removed (some wiring could be repurposed for other needed sensor plugs if you choose) As for the wiring needed for the auto to manual conversion... contact ChuckChainz on this Forum and he can get you squared away.
