Default 2014 Accord LX passenger drive axle

I am in the process of replacing the injectors on this car when I noticed this gap in the drive axle on the passenger side. The gap between the intermediate shaft housing and the drive axle seems much too wide????????

yes, you're axle is not seated. the silver dust cover on the CV should be a mm or less from the support bearing casting. There should be a circlip in there that locks it in place, so If you can get it back seated it shouldn't be able to slide back out by hand. If not, the circlip may be damaged or missing.

This should not be driven until you're sure it's re-seated.

Purchase a new Circlip and installed it. I had to tap on the end of the drive axle to get it to clip in. All seems fine.
