Default D16 ONLY CRANKS

Hey guys Wana make this short,

i just finished my head install today and forged rods plus pistions, I went to start the car but it wouldn’t start and instead would only crank. It’s 2 am and I need the car running tomorrow as I need it for work.

i noticed that ground wire from tranny to body gets hot and starts burning noticed it as it started smoking, also have tried flipping over the dizzy rotor just to see if it was that but nah.

what I did that may have chased it:
HEAD SWAP as last head had striped bolt holes
forged pistions
forged rods — no notch rods

have done timing.

Remove the battery and check your work. You definitely messed up somewhere if the ground wire is burning up.

I didn’t do anything except paint the engine bay and the works listed above…
I Think it maybe timing as it’s getting every thing else

Wrong timing set doesn’t cause ground wires to heat up. You’re missing my point,

Did you scraped off some of the paint for the 3 grounding points on the chassis? If not, that’s likely the issue of the start
