A couple of issues 2014 Honda Pilot
Hey all,
I have a couple of quick issues I would like to get some sensing on. The first is the "not a spare" spare tire. Does anyone know if the cable can carry the weight of a full sized tire or already tried and successfully carried one? Second, the wife's Pilot has an issue with the air diverting. Regardless of which position we select, it only blows out of the main panel vents. The temp still works and different zone cooling works. Blowing out the rear vents will be cut off if we try to change the direction of flow. Any thoughts or ideas? I looked on the diagram I found on the following webpage and the only thing I have seen or can fathom would be the issue is the motor assembly mode (part 12). The diagram doesn't really give a location though or how to get to it to change should this prove to be the issue. It may be the main control panel having a partial failure but I am more inclined to go for a single part since it still works for every other function.

Ok folks .... what are your thoughts and any resources you may have that makes you lean one way or the other. Thanks in advance for the help!!

After not getting any "traction" here in my request for information, I went to google. For anyone else that is wondering about getting rid of the donut spare and replace it with a full size, here is a link from Honda showing that it is not only ok but recommended. I will be heading to the local salvage yard next week and getting a matching factory rim off an old undamaged Pilot and making the change.

I hope this may help anyone else that is asking the question.
