Default Spoon Final Drive?

Is there such a thing? I read two or three posts by searching, but no definite info whatsoever. I remember (who knows from where exactly) that is was 4.875, between the jdm itr fd and ats fd, I just don't remember if it is still available.

There are two available:

4.643 and 4.875

They're also more expensive then the ATS FD.

... and probably don't come with all the necessary parts, right? (jdm 1st gear, etc)

its made for them by KAAZ Japan, and ranges from 4.8 to 5.1 ratios ...

they fit the same way as if you're doing the jdm 4.7, smae parts different counter and ring gears

I know Cusco makes a 5.0 FD, but what makes you say that Spoon makes a 5.1?

Why would you get the Kaaz 5.1 through Spoon rather than getting it directly from Kaaz?

maybe we should just PM each other

kaaz is contracted with spoon to not sell certain final drives (kaaz cannot sell although they make them), I think the 4.8 and 5.0, they can sell all others.

Nothing, it's just not worth it IMHO... The ATS makes the car a different animal...

I've also heard of the 5.1.

Or you could get the ATS and run 225/45 15's like I did and be closer to the 5.1 but, also be able to slap on some street tires/wheels and not be quite as drastic as the 5.1 for every day...

6 of these half a dozen... Whatever floats your boat.

The 4.929 IS the way to go in my opinion, it just wakes the car up completely and removes any lag or in-between gear feeling and is simply awesome when pulling through and out of turns.

AND it was great during my HPDE, I hade no issues with gearing being too short or not being in the correct gear,,, of course different tracks require different gear setups but, all around the ATS final drive as been all A's by me.

Or ATS with 195/50/15's. Not a drastic change from 4.929, would put you over 5, I would think.

If the ATS is a 4.929 FD, what diameter rim/tire will keep the fd at the advertised 4.929? Stock/195-55-15? I would think any other diameter would change the final drive a bit, just not sure how to re-calculate what the FD would be with different diameter wheels/tires. Anyone?
