To give a bit of context occasionally (10% of the time) when I put my key and turn to the ON position the check engine light isn't lit and I literally have to smack my dashboard for the light to come on and when I do this a humming sound can be heard turning on which I think sounds like the fuel relay. If I do not smack the dash when the light isn't on the car just won't start. Previously owner stated it was something to do with the immobiliser and there have been times where I would be driving and the car would just completely die on me while rolling and I quickly have to turn on the engine ALWAYS requiring me to hit the dash as the engine light isn't lit so I suspect its linked in some manner. There have been two times where the engine died rolling and I had to smack to turn on and the car is running ROUGH like its about to stall and I had to drive home like that. There have been seperate incidents where I try to start the car in the morning working normally the previous day and its running super rough and has come to a point where whenever I turn on the car it starts for a second and stalls straight away, the only way around this is to put my foot on the gas so the engine doesn't stall and I maintain 1-2k rpm untill engine heats up then its running perfectly normal and starts up normal. Currently the car is sitting and the car wont turn, not even the starter goes on (not dead battery). I have to smack the dash to get the light on but its futile.
I got an AUDM 1999 Honda civic EJ6 swapped to B16A (had this issue prior to swap)
I suspect its an immobiliser issue as i've replaced alot of parts and remembered what original owner had stated. The car's currently got a P2T in it and was thinking about removing the immobiliser by getting a OBDI P30 and jumper but unsure if this is possible.
Any tips or idea what this could be rlly appreciated
If you're hitting that side of the dash, I'm gonna say it's the main relay.
You can delete immobiliser off your original ECU. Theres tutorials if you search for them. Other thing thats related to your immobiliser would be the receiver thats around your ignition. That could be giving issues if the wiring is bad. Best thing you can do is get a multimeter out and check.
If I was you, I'd check first before buying stuff that might be unnecessary.
