so today the car left me after driving it for half an hour, went to full stop and then turned engine off, radio was still on and playing, after not even 10 seconds radio turns off, knew something was off right away. and now the car doesn't start anymore and nothing electrical works on it except hazard lights + instrumental lights for hazards on dash. that's it, no headlights , no radio, no signals, no other lights on dash, nothing. i can only close the driver side door with they key from outside but doesn't lock the other doors, had to lock them from the inside. tried to inspect the fuses and the 80 ampere one seems blown, but not sure as it was dark outside and didn't had a screwdriver on me to remove it to inspect it properly, also there is some blue cable around the screws, what could that be for? is it some aftermarket modification? or was it stock? the cable seems melted/deteriorated.
It's a good way to burn down your car. Some idiot put in the wire after blowing the fuse.
yes, that's exactly what happened. only have this car for 6 months. i don't know why anybody would treat his car this way, considering how cheap a fuse is to replace. fuse was blown and he(or the service he took the car to) put a wire instead of replacing the fuse. the wire just desintegrated when touched with a screwdriver. removed the blown fuse and ordered a new one as i couldn't find it locally
