Hi everyone, I’ve hit a brick wall with my k24a4 141k miles. I decided to do the timing and oil pump after hearing slapping and excessive oil consumption. So I do the timing replace the pump and chain and the vvt sensor crank sensor and all can sensors as precaution. The car would not start after, I proceeded to chase down the issue for 3 days and found my exhaust cam was snapped at the locking pin so I replaced both cams with used cams, check my air and fuel both good and put new spark plugs and ignition coils in. Car started but extremely rough and I had to floor it to get it to go, now it has a loud ticking/ weird noise on the passenger side of the motor along with a massive misfire and me and my buddy have hit a brick wall. My guess is the VCT and or injector. Any feedback helps. Thank you!
