Hello Honda Community,
I'm trying to identify a noise coming from the front of the vehicle that only happens when the car is in motion. It seems to happen more when I am up hill and it is cold outside.
It does not sound like the suspension (no bad CV axle noise), and I'm scared it might be a rod knock. However, it sounds more like the rattle of a muffler (possibly heat shield).
Please have a listen at the 10-second mark to the audio clip.

- Just got oil changed, no change

Got my transmission oil flushed, the same issue.
Going to move on to changing spark plugs and trying 91 octane gas to see if perhaps it is Spark Knock.

 

Update, I tried adding some 91 octane gas, but I can still hear the rattle. Changing the spark plugs out next.
