Default Oil low after change

Checked the oil the day after getting the 2014 crv at the dealership and it was 1/2 quart low..

I know some dealerships purposefully undrtfill every oil change because most people don't check

A Ford dealership would only fill tonthe add line. They saveva lot of money on.oil

I had them do some of the extras. I forget what, but $900 worth.

The previous oil change there was other recommended servive that I postponed for lack of time. Tune up, valve adjustment, something else.

it irritates me that those services weren't on the needed services list. The service manager said they didn't know what I might have had done elsewhere. I had a lot of trouble understanding that comment.

previously at the same dealership they told my wife she needed brakes at 40,000 miles +
.
I checked and the brakes were only 40% wore.
we got the brakes done elsewhere around 40,000 miles later.

I really miss being able to take care of everything myself. And they don't do the extras I received at other dealerships.
. Servicing the chassis, oiling the doors ans and such every service. Other dealerships also wash the vehicle every service.
. I'm just not very impressed with Honda dealerships service

Most dealerships are called stealerships for a reason. There was a lot of dishonesty where I worked at - two different CDJR dealers. I was a tech.

I’ve seen techs lie to customers about brake pads, steal money out of the center console or glove box, service writers tell the customers that repairs weren’t covered under warranty for a BS reason (so we could get more hours as customer pay) and of course the sales division pulling their scams.

I recommend working on your own vehicle if at all possible.

that said, it was probably an accident that they didn’t fill your oil all the way. The techs aren’t the ones paying for oil.

I'm not able to do much right now. Life's been crap since April or so. 2020 on, hasn't exactly been good times. We bought the car because the Jeep needed a timing belt and the truck was too big to drive to all of the appointments.
