An old tread was talking about this but his transmission had just gotten back from the shop, and that is not my case.

Earlier today i was driving my car, all gears fine and while shifting to 3rd i got stuck in between 3rd and 5th and pushed pretty hard, car was fine and went into 5th fine but I couldn't check reverse at the time. I got home tried putting it in reverse and it wouldn't go in, I tried pretty hard to get it in with force and not 5th doesn't work with it (i'm guessing the shift for got bent and trying to force it in reverse bent it more) 1st to 4th are fine but it feels like the reverse lock out pin is on 5th and reverse always. what can I do? or what could it be?

 

I have seen a damaged slider cause this multiple times.
