Default Honda tech training #1

Yesterday was my first official training towards becoming a real honda tech

Lesson #1: Installing jdm fd and sp00n fw (pix are sparse due to time constraints at the shop)

when all else fails, force it! j/k

I'm a weak and skerd n00b so my sensei shows me how it's done at his hyundai shop

Since the question of LSD verification comes up alot

j00 should be able to see straight thru it like so

tranny almost back together

here's the other half of the casing

removing the heavy stock fw

fw and clutch is on and ready for tranny

tranny is done and car being lowered

everything is back in and my sensei is putting in the filler t00b for the tranny oil

kaa l00ks like it was never touched

the work area

only a few more cars to work on...

yshi - who can't wait for his next class

(if j00 f00z wana see bigger pix, just add ".orig.jpg" to the end of the pix url)

yoshi: why not run the ATS FD?

n/m y0shi is running an ats.

-Dave, who is actually considering doing a ATS in the gs-r.. that'd be weird.. actually installing my own FD for once

it took a few hours, since mikehyundai had to explain things and my n00b *** was slow since it was my first time. stopping to take pix slowed me down also

these lessons aren't cheap, but that's ok for me b/c what better place to learn how to wrench on cars than a shop that even Honda brings their cars into

yshi - who'd like to thank mikehyundai, oops mikehonda, rick and the porter (forgot his name) who stayed late last night

Very nice yoshi. I would love to sign up for a class like that, instead of learning the lessons in a hard way (touch wood)!

I would like to see a FD install in person...

JN who can swap a clutch and flywheel like nobodys business...but is way to wussy to tear apart the tranny on his own......

All I need is to have an avatar that says "owned!!! by himself"
