Ignition Problem When Changing ECU
I have this 1990 ef sedan and when I change the ECU the car will not shut off with the key, only way to combat this is stalling the car.
The ECU that is currently in the car is a PM6, I used a different PM6 from the same year and it has this issue. I swapped the ECU and dizzy for OBD1 with a p28 and the car starts and idles perfect but also has this same issue.
Why would using a different ECU cause this problem? It is MPFI swapped with a D15A6.

Has the thought of the ignition switch plug itself crossed your mind as being the problem?
Sometimes they tend to not stay in the run position after start up but yours may be just not making the engine cut contact when turning the key, switching through to the off position.
