My 85 civic “wagovan” needs a new engine.
its manual transmission.

I not opposed to a racing type upgrade, but my goal is simply to have the car running again.

I overheated it in Florida in July summer and probably seized the engine. It’s about to go to the shop for inspection. I’m in Atlanta GA.
if it’s seized I’d like to keep the car rather than junk it. So it’ll need a new or rebuilt engine.

going to have to pay a mechanic for this because I have one messed up hand and no garage to do the work myself.


what do you recommend for the least expensive option?

 

Least expensive would be to pull out the engine and rebuild it.

Any sort of swap is going to be expensive to have a shop do it.

It might even be cheaper to junk it/sell it and buy something newer.
