So I have a 2000-2001 civic ex and it recently stopped running correctly, I cannot get the codes ran due to no connection from the obd port to the code reader, when I start the car the dash light that comes on first is my battery light then the red and blue relays behind the glove box start clicking and the dash light switches from battery to check engine, as it's clicks and lights flash back and forth the tachometer is working but after about 30 seconds or less just the check engine light stays on, tach stops working completely, and I cannot push gas pedal to hard to accelerate or it has no power, if I go over a certain rpm the engine shakes violently until I go up a gear, I thought it's limp mode but it shouldn't run and drive in limp mode says honda service center, so I'm reaching out here for any help, I'm willing to do zoom / video calls for any help , it's my only ride to work and she is my baby lol please help me!! See the tach is working Once it changes to the check engine light it stops working These are the relays that click when i start it
Check if the engine itself did not skip timing. you need to pull the valve cover off and verify,
Check all the grounds and clean them!
the OBD port should be Fuse #43 (7.5 Amp) in the underhood fuse box, labeled "Interior Lights". check this fuse!~
My next step would be to check the ECU/PCM .it probably is due to the PCM. You can open the PCM to see if there is any obvious damage, such as blown/leaking capacitors and/or burnt resistors. PCM may still be faulty even if you don't see anything that looks bad.
