How to read a dip stick?

I’m changing my transmission fluid on an 97 del sol Automatic. Should the fluid mark on the dipstick be in the middle of the marks or up to the 2nd mark? (Engine off & at operating temp)

Yes, should be between marks at operating temperature with the engine off.
