B18 wiring
Hi, new here.
So, I am wondering how ro do the wiring for dpfi to mpfi.
I have a 1991 civic hatchback
it came with a b18b1 non vtec and cable trans
Everything on the motor ( including injectors and dizzy) is all obd1
The ecu to run it is obd0
I have been searching around everywhere and nothing seems to match up exactly with what I have
I wanted to know if I can make the obd0 ecu work with the obd1 parts
also I wanted to know how to wire dpfi to mpfi since i wont need an injector resistor box because i have obd1 injectors. ( assuming that is correct info from what ive already gathered)
I found monotech but i can not afford to pay for the harness as it's well over 400 dollars
I am just trying to find clear instructions on how to do this.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for your time

There are multiple write ups/videos on how to convert dpfi to mpfi..
Why would you try to run a ecu not meant for the engine? You are going to go no-where..
A OBD0 B18A (if that's what you have) ecu has slightly different fuel mapping than a B18B. Your engine has a 4 wire O2 sensor where the your OBD0 ecu used a 1 wire, the distributor is different from OBD0-OBD1 (signal pulse is different from one another) which won't work.
For what you have already, read more and watch videos on the dpfi to mpfi, take notes and create a check off list so nothing is missed.
Once you have that done, go to the wreckers and cut off from any '92-95 civic or integra - 3 engine harness side plugs with a few inches of wire coming off them so you can tie them into your harness. You will need the 2 OBD1 distributor plugs and a 4 wire O2 plug (use solder/heat shrink insulator, not just tape). There are write ups on the wire conversion for the distributor which is straight forward, the ecu jumper harness (if you buy one) should have the 4 wires to go to your new cut off O2 plug.
Get a OBD0-OBD1 ecu conversion harness ($100 or less) and run a OBD1 37820 P75 A01 ecu for your engine. Keep it simple.

Thank you for the advice, I had not been on here in a bit, I ended up going through everything, it's a b18b1 engine, and everything on it is obd0 components. I made an engine harness from a stock ef one that I ordered. Hooked everything up, it cranks then fires on like 2 cylinders then dies. After eading what you said, makes sense why it won't fire up. So I guess I did all that for nothing. Serves me right for being impatient. So what I'm gathering is I gotta go Obd1 for this engine.
