Have I ruined the cylinder walls with oven degreaser?
Will this engine need to be taken to the machine shop?
You tell me,
i’ve tried to remove these marks with Parts cleaner and Shop towels.
It all started as a cylinder head gasket job and now it’s turned into a nightmare!
I really need to get back to work and so I’m tempted to just put the engine back together.
I live in apartments and removing the entire engine block isn’t exactly permitted on my lease. Don’t really wanna be out there and get caught by my property managers.
I would probably be trying to do it without an engine hoist if I’m forced to remove the engine block.
Don’t really wanna give up and throw the car away.
I posted a thread earlier and got an answer, but then I realized that the cylinder walls has marks on them that I had not seen before.
i’m hoping to get advice from some experienced people here online,
please help and leave me a comment.
Line created by Oven degreaser drip I’m guessing these marks came from splattering the oven degreaser
