hello I’m currently replacing my 97 del sol SI front right CV axle. both bearings were going so i replaced the entire thing Im really having a hard finding the right axle. But i got one today and it seems to be right length and has the right amount of splines but a portion of the cover for the inner bearing has been machined out. is this just an upgrade design? is this a common design for aftermarket parts? everything seems good but i’d like to be sure here is a photo.
also i’m finding hard to rotate and turn the bearing on the new CV axle has anyone experienced this? did u do anything to help lubricate it? thx
seen those AAR socket design axles. Not sure what the benefits of them versus the old round housing.
Hold the axle "rod" and try to rotate the outer axle part to see if there's any play.
