Hello everyone, I'm probably bringing up an old thread but I need help. I
m having water leaking issues underneath the dash. I have 98 civic dx coupe. It started under the dash on the passenger side first but it sort of made it's way to the driver side. But it's mostly just the passenger side, it's starting to flood now . I also noticed that its also wet behind the center console (the floor is wet). I took my car for a wash a couple days ago so I wonder if a seal is not good because there is A LOT of water. It's been dripping a good amount everyday now. I also noticed that the black box behind the glovebox, it's very wet underneath it. So I wonder if it's that thing. Also today, I heard something new. When I turn left, something sounds kind of like dry fart?? Like it sounds clogged and it's trying to get through. But one thing is for sure, when I turn left, a lot of water starts dripping in the floor. Any advice helps! Looking to take off the dash for a closer look
does your ac work? If it does, blow out the condensate drip tube, with either compressed air or a garden hose (the floor is wet anyway).
Good tip! none of my old civics have AC so I don't have that drip tube that runs under the car in the center. If that is plugged it would definitely throw water inside instead of draining outside to under the car behind the steering rack. Seen it on other old civics I've ripped parts from.
