NEED HELP

99 civic d16y8 auto transmission I recently got all codes erased for solenoid a and b going to install new ones then drive car around and mechanic said if code pops back on it’s my tcm that’s bad if so where can I find that in the car is the the tcm and ecu one unit

Yes, the ECU controls the automatic transmission. There is no separate TCM.
