My engine light is on and I have the subject codes. P0131 can mean a lot of things from sensor to wiring to other items. Does the additional P0505 code help narrow these down? If so, how?

After a reset, the engine light takes 10-30 minuets to come back on, perhaps after a prolonged uphill climb when I can ease off the accelerator.

Apologies if this is already answered somewhere in the forum. Searching "P0131 and P0505" mostly turns up posts that include the whole list of available codes.

P0131 Is most likely the sensor needing to be replaced, it's just a good idea to rule out damaged wires or loose connections first.

with P0505 I'd check for vacuum leaks and obvious wiring issues, but until P0131 is resolved I wouldn't spend much time on it.
