I bought two 2024 Honda Ruckus in August 2023. The one rides smoothly. The other has been having issues since the day I brought it home. When going above 25 mph the front wheel seems to hop and you feel like you are riding a horse. I took it back to the dealership and they put weights on the rim. This didn't help and I took it to a closer dealership in September 2024. They said the tire was out of round and replaced the rim and tire. Winter came and in the spring the issue is still there. Took it back to the dealership. They had it for about a month and did some trouble shooting with the Honda Corporation techs but have not been able to fix the "hop" and don't deem it a problem. I tried to open a case with Consumer Relations Honda Powersports but since the dealership deems the hop as normal, there is nothing they can do.
My questions:
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

 

Experienced a similar sounding issue with my 2022 Ruckus when I rode it home, approximately 100 km. Called dealer- who indicated that happens from front wheel being strapped down during shipment- it would clear up. Air pressure in front tire was slightly low, aired both to 25 psi. After a while, it did smooth out.
You have replaced front tire and wheel, presume bearings are and front shock are ok ?
Has your Honda dealer experienced the same “hoppy” feeling during test drives, as you experience? Ruckus are lightly loaded in front, if you are near Ruckus weight limit, this could be a factor?

 

Thanks for the response. I am 130 lbs so my weight shouldn't be an issue. I will check the PSI and see if that is a problem. The dealership feels the hop but doensn't think it is a problem because they have one on the floor that hops even worse than mine.
