Idling issues/P0505 *UNSOLVED*
Never thought I’d be the one posting here, as I almost always find a fix from someone else, but I’ve ran into an issue.
For starters, I have a 2000 EX sedan with a d16y8.
I manual swapped the car as the automatic transmission was failing. I replaced the harness, the intake manifold, the ECU and the transmission from a donor car.
yes, the intake is a 99-00 intake with the air injection ports and the big IACV on the IM instead of the throttle body.
I did it this way to keep it as OEM as possible with minimal wiring/hackjob activities lol.
my concern is, my idle is rough and the car runs terribly. It wasn’t doing this before I manual swapped.
I have checked my coolant levels,
bled the system
replaced the IACV (granted, with a Duralast unit, however the problems didn’t change)
And there is not a vacuum leak. I sprayed with bc and unplugged and replugged every line.
I have not adjusted the idle screw.
honda wants a new OEM IACV for $500. I don’t got that kind of bread.
but the car stutters while driving and it idles rough. Any help appreciated.
code is P0505. Thank you!
